In black ripple moulding frame under glass. Dr Fred Meijer confirms the authenticity of this painting and emphasizes its excellence within the œuvre of Ambrosius Bosschaert the Younger. Bol, The Bosschaert Dynasty, Leigh-on -Sea 1960, pp. 44 - 48), of which the earliest painting is dated 1616 and the last is dated 1643. Relined. 99 x 133 cm. In gilt frame. Enclosed in copy an expert’s report by Professor Alberto Cottino dated 18th January 2019. Restored. Auf einer Tischplatte, vor dunkelbraunem Hintergrund, ein geflochtener Korb, darin, neben einigen Zweigen, mehrere rote und weiße Weintraubenrispen sowie einige Feigen und zwei Granatäpfel. Vor dem Korb auf der Platte liegen weitere Früchte, darunter ein geöffneter Granatapfel. Neben dem Korb sitzt ein kleines Äffchen, das in seiner rechten Pfote einige rote Früchte hält und aufmerksam und interessiert mit seinen braunen Augen auf die Früchte des Korbes schaut. Das Licht fällt von oben herein und bestrahlt die Früchte und die weiße Brust des Äffchens. Interessante Komposition mit starker Betonung der Hell-Dunkel- Effekte. Rest.
