(9300076) Maiolica dish with portrait of a lady Diameter: 23.3 cm. Castelli, 17th century. Flat dish with broad border. The border painted with free brushstrokes depicting yellow vines on a blue ground. The centre depicts an elegant lady in the cos - tume of the era. Her torso is facing to the right and her head is turned in the opposite direction, gazing out at the beholder. Dressed in a large, long coat slightly opened at the front. A large ribbon is tied around her neck and she wears a flat, broad-rimmed head on her curly hair. She holds a cup and saucer in her hand, which she seems to be handing to someone. The background shows loosely drawn blue clouds around the lady's head. Painted in yellow, blue, orange and manganese. Minor glaze wear on the rim. € 3.000 - € 4.000 568 Majolika-Kaffeekanne Höhe: 22,5 cm. Breite: 12 cm. Tiefe: 15 cm. Castelli, 17. Jahrhundert. Sehr guter Zustand. Riss am Henkel rest. (9300037) Maiolica coffee pot Height: 22.5 cm. Width 12 cm. Depth: 15 cm. Castelli, 17th century. Coffee pot on foot ring, domed cover with small knob handle. The lower third of the pot is ga - drooned. The handle is formed by two mirrored Cs back to back forming a cross shape. The long, arrow-shaped spout is accentuated in colour and decorated with a fish scale pattern. The Istoriato painting features pairs of figures on both sides. On the right a man is handing a colourful coat to another man. This is probably an illustration of Jacob, who is given the blood-stained coat of his favourite son Joseph, whereupon he falsely assumes that his son is dead. On the left a woman tries to prevent a man from leaving by holding onto his coat. This could be Joseph re - jecting Potiphar's wife. Painted in red, yellow, green, blue, brown and black. Very good condition. Handle restored. € 12.000 - € 15.000 106 For around 6,000 additional detailed images: www.hampel-auction.com
