1121 Pseudo-Stringa In

Pseudo-Stringa, Research has not yet clearly identified this painter who was active until the mid-18th century and whose name has been associated with Francesco Stringa (1635 – 1709). STILL LIFE WITH FRUIT AND FLOWERS ON MARBLE BASE WITH LARGE ARCHITECTURAL VOLUTE Oil on canvas. 74 x 113 cm. A detailed, published article by Alberto Crispo des cribes the painting and makes comparisons with other works by the artist, some of which are held in private collections.
